A lie is truth — when the only truth left is your own.
Stay with that line for a minute before reading on. A lie does not live where different truths collide — it lives where only one truth remains: your own. As long as you allow that another person’s picture of the world may differ from yours, you are able to see. The moment your truth becomes the only one, everything that contradicts it automatically becomes a “lie”. And the reverse holds too: your single truth, closed off from the world, itself becomes a lie — a truth for you alone.
