“A good book. Presented in an engaging way, as a dialogue. Respect to the author for the idea. Some may find this advice obvious, but we are all different — some of us need to hear the same piece of advice a hundred times over before it lands and we begin to understand. In my own case, after reading it I found answers to thoughts that had been spinning in my head for a long time. I recommend it. I'd be curious to hear what others think.”

“The author writes clearly and answers the most pressing questions of the 21st century. I recommend it. The one drawback is that it's short — I'd love to see a sequel.”

“I'm interested in self-knowledge and personal growth, and I read a lot of books on all kinds of subjects. In this one, every chapter is fertile ground for reflection. People often do illogical or foolish things (myself included); to avoid this, you can use the advice in this book and ask yourself a very apt question — “Why?” The question “Why?” is the key moment of the book, and it genuinely helps. After reading it, I started asking it of myself in many areas of life and realised how much I love to overcomplicate things, when the answer always lies right at the top. The book will be useful to absolutely everyone.”

“The book is a great fit for anyone who doesn't want to go to a psychologist but wants to find the answer on their own. It's very substantial; I read it slowly, because I dwelt on each chapter and tried to feel and take in everything written there. The book (the author) opened my eyes to many things, and afterwards I feel more calm and confident. I recommend it without reservation.”

“One of those books you can reread regularly! It's especially valuable in different emotional periods of life. In my view, a very useful book for self-knowledge. Ideal for those who look for the cause of their troubles within themselves, because that is usually exactly where it lies. The book reads easily and quickly. Everything is very well thought through and structured. I recommend it to others.”

“I read the book with great interest. The author shares his outlook and suggestions for those interested in personal growth and inner development. This stance is very close to my own, and I read with pleasure — in places reflecting, comparing it with my own view on the same questions, and finding much in common. There was one point I disagreed with, about thoughtlessness being necessary for people with low powers of concentration. As someone keen on yoga, I can say that in training this state there is always room to grow. On everything else, I agree. And yes, I think I'll take up the recommendation and get tested to find out what doesn't suit my body. Thank you!”

“A book of answers to the most common questions, with no filler — one that saves you dozens of hours of life spent searching for answers, or millions of roubles spent on expert experts.”

“Today it's easy to lose yourself and dissolve into temptations, and often to unknowingly swap your own values and desires for ones imposed by the material world — envy, aggression, hatred. In “WHY?” Evgeny Fleysher lays out a conception of inner growth that could serve as a foundation for those on a path of becoming, or in a state of struggle (inner or outer conflict). The book is written as an interview and touches on the states and elements of the inner life that matter most today — love, happiness, the workings of the Ego, health, feelings, desires, stress, pleasure and faith. Among its unquestionable strengths are the absence of judgemental verdicts and a consistent, elegant unveiling of the nature of the inner self. Each of us makes choices every day, and the author's conception lets a person make those choices consciously, governing their own Ego without force, reaching harmony and balance by focusing on their true desires. I resonate with the author's stance that there are no predetermined events or scripts, and Evgeny unfolds the notions of fear, money, sex and love, and their interconnections, in a way that is very unusual for today's society — without neglecting the themes of health, sport and nutrition, yet without imposing his own way of life; on the contrary, inviting you to share a truly happy future. Every chapter awakens a response within and stirs the inner world. Given the author's invaluable and exceptional experience, this book should be read by everyone, whatever stage of inner development the reader may be at. The book doesn't impose any ideology; it reveals a conception that lets you “create out of love” and “choose yourself” — not by destroying, but by building a foundation for “common happiness”. Long ago the words of someone dear to me became important to me, and now I can offer them to the author of this book: Evgeny Fleysher is an example for me.”
