This entry of the alphabet is a service chapter in the highest sense of the word: it explains what all the previous ones were for. Everything is the “pinecone”. In my model — and a model is a lens, never the final truth — the pineal gland is an image of the “third eye”: an inner point that holds the source from which everything happening around you is defined. It is not switched on by technique or by force of will. It wakes when your inner energy rises — when everything in you connects and begins to send out specific signals about what exactly you intend to create in your space and in your life.
Look at the painting made for this chapter: on each scale of the cone there is its own instrument — its own frequency of feeling. The point of the image is that your “pinecone” both transmits and receives vibrations of a particular frequency. To create the events you want, and to find yourself in the places that match them, you need to tune yourself to specific frequencies — the ones involved in producing those events. Not “become a different person”. Tune yourself — the way an instrument is tuned before it is played.
Everything is the pinecone: you transmit and receive at the same time.
How to listen for the signal
The practice is almost indecently simple. Ask yourself a question — and at the very moment of the thought, hold your attention on the sensations just below the throat. Then interpret: was it pleasant or not.
If you felt nothing at all, you are most likely moving in the same direction you were moving before the question: the body sees no need to answer a question that changes nothing. Either the question was wrong, or it coincides with a tendency you have already set in motion. But if a new stage is beginning, the impulse will come without fail — a tightening, a tingling, warmth, a brief discharge. It means the question you have asked yourself will certainly change the overall tendency.
Whether the change is the right one is read from the feeling of the event once it has happened: if it turned warm and pleasant, almost quietly good — the tendency is shifting towards a fuller unfolding of what you are creating. And the reverse holds too. There is no mysticism in the application: it is a skill of attention to yourself, as trainable as a musician’s ear.
The body does not answer questions that change nothing.
What all of this was for
Now you can see how the alphabet comes together. “Inspiration” taught you to catch the in-breath, “Desire” — to tell your own from other people’s, “Centre” — to hold the goal in attention, “Code” — to feel where you are being drawn. The “pinecone” is the organ all of this is done with: the point where feeling passes into creating. First you feel the frequency — then the event arises on it.
So do not ask whether the third eye “works”. Ask something simpler: when did you last listen to your own impulse before a decision — rather than to someone else’s opinion, to habit, to fear? That is the question it opens with.
First you feel the frequency — then the event arises on it.
