The «I»: You Become What You Think of Yourself

Evgeny Fleysher · 11 July 2026

What is the Universe? The Universe is the «I». That is — the «I» of every person who begins to think about what the Universe is. Here the question and the questioner are inseparable: the moment you asked, you were already inside the answer.

People say the «I» keeps changing: today a person is one, tomorrow another, the day after a third. Very well — imagine that everyone in the world thinks this way. It would turn out that all our «I»s are, as it were, revolving among one another. And in fact they are all one «I», because all people are one, just as the whole Universe is one at its level of development and scale. Your «today’s I» and your «yesterday’s I» go on arguing only until you notice the one who is watching them both.

What you think of yourself is what you become.

Thought sets the frequency

In my model it works like this: the body is always preparing for whatever your thoughts prepare it for. The organism slightly «presenses» the future — not because it knows how things will be, but because it feels the future being formed. At any second the future can be changed, if you understand how the people around you think — and how you think around those people. When you think positively, you begin to vibrate at a high frequency — and out of the whole spectrum of events around you, it is the high-frequency ones you engage with. Your «I» becomes well-disposed and well-feeling not because the world grew kinder, but because you changed the band you receive on.

How do you interact with other «I»s so that they do not rock your state? Refusing to accept the people around you is a refusal of reality — that is not a path. The path is right evaluation: not swapping one concept for another, but understanding where it is effective to turn your awareness of the situation next. Any negativity can be amplified — start thinking along its lines and you will get a still more negative scenario. Or you can hold yourself inside the corridor of high-frequency events. The more you jump between corridors, the greater the amplitude of the swings — and the more resources it takes to compensate for them. Evenness is not dullness. Evenness is economics.

Calm as the foundation

The scenarios along which a person develops are laid down early — but any scenario can be changed. The sooner you realise that you are not a simple substance but a highly efficient organism obliged to perfect itself, the sooner the main discovery arrives: having achieved comfort or income, you understand that this was not the point. The point is continuous development. When the true «I» understands that the material side recedes into the background, the very attitude to life changes.

To live comfortably, a person must first of all be calm in their thoughts. Everything else they achieve should settle in layers onto that calm — as onto a foundation. Calm, note, does not despise the material: your «I» is currently housed in a body that needs energy, food, sensation. And learn to hold the balance within yourself: to understand where you feel well and why — and whether you could reach that state in the new place you are heading for: another flat, another job, another environment. Even if along the way you find you were mistaken, that too is for the better: the concentration of knowledge has brought you into a new state.

One day the body will cease to match the needs of this planet — and the «I» will receive a brief summary of its results for the lifetime. As a rule, it comes down to a single question: was I happy? And that depends on love — because without love, happiness is impossible. The «I» is a person’s consciousness; how it works with the body and the brain is the measure of how efficiently development is going. And development is endless.

Without love, happiness is impossible.
