Beneath every one of my works lies a construction. Before any paint touches the canvas, a grid already lives on it — circles, axes, proportions. The viewer does not see it. But feels it. And that feeling is not an accident; it is a calculation.
Geometry is the grammar of perception. We read form before we have time to think.
The eye recognises «right» before the mind can say why. A circle is a whole with no beginning and no end — a form in which anxiety finds nothing to catch hold of. An axis is a direction, a hidden arrow that leads the gaze even when there is not a single straight line on the canvas. Proportion is rhythm, and when it is the true one, the body answers with calm, as it does to a note struck cleanly.
Why it is called sacred
There is no mysticism in sacred geometry — not in the cheap sense. There is observation. The same relationships repeat in the shell of a snail, in the spiral of a galaxy, in the proportions of a human face. Nature builds by these numbers — and we, being part of nature, recognise them as our own. A painting built on them does not argue with the person standing before it. It coincides with them.
From this follows a simple but not obvious thought: form sets a frequency. A composition can calm or mobilise, gather or scatter — not through its subject, but through its very structure. The artist who feels this stops merely depicting. He tunes.
I do not depict calm. I build a form in which you enter it.
That is what the geometry beneath the canvas is for. It is an instrument of the soul’s interaction with the Source — a way of making the invisible architecture of the world tangible to whoever stands before the work. Paint, subject, colour — these are the upper layer. Underneath, the construction holds. And when it is true, the painting stops being a window and becomes a tuning fork: you approach in one state and step away in another.
