The Soul

In this painting you can see a soul creating new knowledge by recalling what it already holds — through the study of the energies it receives.

Embodied in a human figure, the soul stands at the centre between the "reasoning bustle of the city" and nature as the source of its unconditional energies and knowledge. At the same time it studies the changes of these energies, feeling its lineage, shown in the form of roots.

It also receives energies from its own birth — from the portal visible in the upper part of the painting. This process symbolises the soul's unfolding out of its true state: the state of love.
