Pleasure

Illustration to chapter 12 “Pleasures” of the book “Why?” (Alpina PRO, 2024).

"Pleasure is something a person gives birth to within themselves." E. Fleysher

This painting shows the difference between physical and spiritual pleasure, which always answers to the frequency of a person's inner state.

Pleasure takes different forms. On the left side of the painting, pleasure is embodied as the excitement of energies in human bodies through their union — love for each other's flesh, pleasure as the receptors of the body understand it. On the right you can see a sage who takes pleasure in contemplating the surrounding world and in the love he holds for it.
