Work for the article “The Gaze” (letter В) in the book “The Spiritual Alphabet”.
"The Gaze" is not an image but a conceptual construction exploring the nature of attention as a fundamental force of being.
At its center is a visual metaphor of a black hole, read here not as an astrophysical object but as a model of super-focused consciousness. It is the symbol of the point where perception stops being passive and becomes a vector — distorting, structuring and, in the end, creating reality.
The faces surrounding the center are not figures but interfaces of subjectivity. They do not look outward. They are folded inward, drawn into the orbit of choice — like a consciousness deciding where to direct the light of awareness. Here the gaze is a choice, and choice is an act of creation.
The viewer does not stand outside the work — the viewer is drawn into it. Their own attention becomes part of a dynamic system.
They either continue the chain of gazes or break it — and in doing so become an element of what is observed.
This work is a mirror of attention, where everyone who looks constructs meaning through their own act of contemplation.
